These Yezdi factory and Yezdi Research
and Development photos were taken in late 2002 after the Yezdi
factory was sold with many of its items still inside. That was a
sort of boom time for enthusiasts who went on to buy many parts
for their bikes and sometimes full bikes. A glimpse into the
factory gives a view of what the company was and what it could
have been. The demise of Yezdi is one of the most tragic events in
the Indian biking scene, although many had seen it coming.

Ireland. Those were the days! Gary Thompson gajt@hotmail.co.uk

Craig Wolfe saw
this for Jawa motorcycle and sidecar for sale while driving way
out in a very rural part of the country of Honduras and loved the
vintage and retro lines it had. No idea what they were asking for
it or what year it was or style. If anyone knows, please contact
me – it may still be available. You can reach me at

This bike was specially prepared for the JAWA CZ Owners Club in 1984 by Skoda GB Ltd and was finished in non standard white.
It was the main raffle prize for the 30th Anniversary of the Club.
The winner was Club Treasurer John O’Ryan who forgot to put any details on the ticket stub. That meant we had to search all the stubs for the numbers each side and struck lucky as that was the one stub he failed to complete with his name.

This is my CZ 175cc. I bought it when I was 13 from a friend at school and fixed it up a little bit, although I did find it difficult to get spare parts here in Northern Ireland. I was lucky to get some when I was holidaying in Prague. That was 10 years ago and I still haven't parted with her!
She's garaged all the time and I'm looking forward to the summer to plenty of days cruising around the North coast. Chris Kilgore, Ulster, Northern Ireland.

My name is Markus
Schmidt from Germany. My Jawa is a type 638 and was built in 1988. I
bought it last winter and it was completely run down. Previous
owners
had only ever used it as a fun bike for rides through snowy
forests in winter and I doubt that it was ever cleaned
afterwards. I spent all summer painting and repairing it, after
having removed a very thick crust of salt and dirt.
